In Remembrance of Don Harkins

I knew Don Harkins all too briefly since moving to this area approximately two years ago. He possessed a great depth of knowledge and an uncanny sense of how all the pieces of the proverbial puzzle fit together. His unique perspective on things will be extremely hard to replace as we continue down this road that he helped to pave.

When a group of us got together for the Committees of Safety project (later to become Arm in Arm), Don was instrumental in helping us to help craft an appropriate mission statement. He seemed to have an uncanny ability to comprehend how each word had to fit in order to ensure that we were communicating exactly what we wanted to for our particular audience. When finished, we received positive feedback which ultimately reflected much upon Don's invaluable input.
The cause of Freedom in the Pacific Northwest and around the nation has lost a great ally this week. I believe that we should redouble our efforts and dedicate our struggle against the forces of tyranny and globalism to a true friend of truth and liberty, Don Harkins.
